Ross Dress for Less Opens Saturday

At a given time, will have a weed wacker, or an entire kitchen sink.

But most of the time, the newest addition to Orland Park Place will have a slew of housewares and clothing for men, women and kids.

The new Orland Park Store, built right between and , is one among 12 Illinois locations opening up.

Items in the store list a claimed price difference between other department stores, applying a 20 percent to 60 percent everyday discount, said Mary Walker, vice president of stores.

“We work within a different business model than other stores,” Walker said. “We work with a lot of different vendors, and we don’t spend a lot on big displays.”

In one loop around the store, we found Iron Chef­-branded sauce, lots of shoes, a mirror ball vase, pillows and a giant butterfly.
