Accused Home Invader Ties Elderly Woman's Mouth Shut with Sock: Cops
Justice man faces felony charges of home invasion and robbery. Cops say he told 74-year-old woman's car and debit card.

Justice, IL -- A Justice man was arrested after police found an elderly woman with a sock tied around her mouth following a home invasion at a mobile home park, Cook County Sheriff’s Police said.
Dandre Mabone, 44, was charged with two counts of armed robbery and one count of home invasion.
According to the charges, around 4:50 a.m., July 14, police responded to a report of home invasion a the Sterling Estates mobile home park. When sheriff’s police arrived, they found a 74-year-old woman inside her residence with a sock tied around her mouth.

Police untied the sock and the woman did not appear to have any physical injuries. She refused medical assistance.
The woman told police that a masked man, identified as Mabone, entered her home and threatened her with a knife. After the home invader tied her up he took her debit card and car keys, sheriff’s police said.

Mabone fled in the woman’s vehicle. She was able to free herself and call 911, sheriff’s police said in a news release.
Police found the woman’s vehicle a short distance away. During their investigation, police were able to identify the alleged home invader as Mabone.
The next day, police arrested Mabone outside his home in the 400 block of Sterling East in Justice.
Mabone appeared in bond court Sunday at the Leighton Criminal Court Building at 26th and California, where bail was set at $500,000.
