Sandburg's Anais Balcazar honored National Hispanic Recognition

Participant in College Board National Hispanic Academic Recognition Program

Sandburg High School's Anais Balcazar was honored as a Participant in College Board National Hispanic Academic Recognition Program by the District 230 School Board on Thursday night.

Every year, the NHRP recognizes about 5,000 of the 250,000 Hispanic/Latino juniors who take the SAT. This is an academic honor that can be included on college applications. Colleges use this program to identify academically exceptional Hispanic/Latino students.
