Armed Robbers Sought In Homer Glen Gas Station Holdup

The incident occurred July 19, when two men entered the Homer Glen gas station and demanded money.

HOMER GLEN, IL — A Homer Glen gas station was robbed last week and now the Will County Sheriff's Office is seeking help from the public in identifying the two bandits, according to police. A 57-year-old employee was at the Shell Gas station, 15861 S. Bell Road, around 4:10 a.m. July 19 when no one was inside the store so she went to the restroom.

When she returned, she saw two males wearing masks over their faces, according to police. The employee told police that the men grabbed her and took her behind the counter and told her to "give me all the money."

The victim gave them a small amount of cash, according to police. She also saw one of the robbers with a small handgun. The offenders left the store after receiving the cash. Police said no vehicle was seen in the immediate area on video surveillance footage.

The employee was not injured during the incident.

Police said the first armed robber is described as a white male, wearing a black Chicago Bulls hoodie with white drawstring ties and a red Bulls logo on the upper sleeve. His face was covered with a black cloth and he wore black shoes with white soles. The robber displayed a black handgun during the robbery.

The second armed robber is described as a black male, wearing a green hooded sweatshirt, with a red bandana covering his face, with dark pants and gloves. That robber removed cash from the register.

There is also a significant height different between the two robbers.
