Three months after the election in 2017, the Board of Trustees gathered to address the 2018 budget. The July 31, 2017, meeting featured a great deal of discussion regarding revenue and expenses.
“Trustee Ruzich questioned when the last time the Village raised the property tax levy. Director (Finance) Mampe stated that this is the seventh year in a row that the Village had a flat tax levy without raising any other revenue sources.”

So, from 2010 to 2017, the Orland Park property tax levy never changed.
Election time is often referred to as “silly season”.
