SUV Crashes Into Orland Park Home Near Silver Lake Country Club
A husband and wife who were sleeping at the time of the crash were unharmed, while the driver was hospitalized with minor injuries.

ORLAND PARK, IL — An Orland Park married couple were awakened around 2 a.m. Saturday morning when an SUV slammed into their home near the intersection of 147th Street and Poplar Road. Neither the husband nor wife were injured, but the home appears heavily damaged after the car struck the front door and the part of the building where the upstairs and downstairs family rooms connect, according to Ray Hanania, a spokesman for the Orland Fire Protection District.
About one-third of the car — an SUV Nissan Murano — went into the building, Hanania said. The driver of the car, a 21-year-old man, was taken to Palos Hospital with minor injuries.
The husband and wife were both sleeping upstairs when the crash occurred. They were the lone occupants of the 147th Street home that's at the end of that section of Poplar Road.
