The Pediatric Oncology Treasure Chest Foundation was overjoyed to receive a donation of $20,608, toys and gifts for teens.
The Pediatric Oncology Treasure Chest Foundation was overjoyed to receive a donation of $20,608, toys and gifts for teens from the Allstate Helping Hands Grant Open House coordinated by Allstate Agent and Treasure Chest Foundation Board Member Jack Hallberg. Their donation will directly benefit children and teens fighting cancer.
The past 23 years have been marked by the Foundation’s phenomenal growth, and today more than 13,300 children and teens each month are able to select a toy or gift certificate following painful procedures at 56 children’s cancer treatment centers in 18 states nationwide.
The afternoon was packed with fun-filled activities that thoroughly entertained a crowd. The event began with a combination meet and greet/indoor tour of the facility, followed by awesome raffle prizes every 15 minutes, delicious food and sweets throughout the day.

Colleen also gratefully acknowledged the support and efforts of local dignitaries in attendance and members of the Foundation’s Board of Directors as well as several of the volunteers of all ages who contribute regularly to the challenging task of distributing toys to the cancer treatment centers served by the organization. She closed with a tip of the cap to Allstate Agent and Treasure Chest Foundation Board Member Jack Hallberg for leading the Allstate Helping Hands Grant.
The Allstate Helping Hands Grant will help the Foundation as it focuses on increasing the number of children’s cancer treatment centers currently served. And for an organization that has provided countless moments of comfort and relief to thousands of brave children and teens for the past decade and a half, this was truly an occasion for everyone involved with the Foundation to experience their own joy and happiness. The emotions that flowed in abundance throughout the afternoon—love, passion and compassion. The Treasure Chest Foundation’s Allstate Helping Hands Grant Open House means there is indeed hope for a bright future.
