Trick-Or-Treating Still On In Orland Park
The village of Orland Park has not canceled or postponed Halloween.
ORLAND PARK, IL — It may be snowing, but trick-or-treating is still on in Orland Park and most other communities in the south suburbs. The village of Orland Park confirmed that trick-or-treat hours remain to be from 2-7 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 31.
"Do what you can to make the experience a safe one by following some of the recommended safety tips," the village wrote before sharing this video on social media.
In Orland Hills, trick-or-treat hours remain at 3-7 p.m. Village Trustee Kyle Hastings blasted the idea of possibly moving the holiday to another date. According to an NBC report, Hastings is quoted as saying if Halloween is canceled because it's too snowy, then "we all also have to follow suit in switching Christmas if it's too warm for Santa and his reindeers" and then switch the Fourth of July "if it's too cold and wet for BBQ's."
