2 Guns Recklessly Discharged Under Investigation In Oswego: Sheriff

Both incidents occurred Monday in Oswego Township, according to the Kendall County Sheriff's Office.

OSWEGO, IL — Two guns were recklessly discharged Monday in Oswego Township, the Kendall County Sheriff's Office reported.

The first incident occurred around 8:54 a.m. in the 1000 block of Harvey Road, and the second took place at about 2:35 p.m. in the 600 block of Rance Road, according to a blotter from the sheriff's office.

On Harvey Road, someone discharged a firearm toward a coyote, Deputy Dan Briars told Patch. The bullet didn't hit anyone or anything, he said.

In the Rance Road incident, Briars said a property owner reported he found his pole barn building was hit by "a firearm projectile."

Investigations into both incidents are currently ongoing, officials said.
