2 More Deputies Hired At Kendall County Sheriff's Office

One deputy was hired to fill a vacancy in the patrol department, and the other was brought on to fill a part-time position.

KENDALL COUNTY, IL — The Kendall County Sheriff’s Office has hired two new deputies, one to a fill vacancy in the Patrol Division and the other to fill a position as a part-time deputy. Eric Thomas and DeeDee Reed were sworn in on November 30th, 2023 by Undersheriff Bobby Richardson.

Deputy Thomas will be attending Basic Police Training Academy beginning January 8th, 2024. Upon completion of the academy, he will be paired with experienced field training officers for an intensive 14-week field training program. Deputy Reed is currently assigned to the Corrections Division where she will assist with transports and other Corrections Division operations.

Deputy Thomas is an 8-year Army veteran and most recently worked for the United States Postal Service. Deputy Reed worked at the DuPage County Sheriff's Office in the Warrants and Transport Division. She also currently works at the Kane County Sheriff's Office as a part-time deputy.
