30 Oswego Seniors Sign Letters Of Intent For College Sports

Oswego high school student-athletes are gearing up to play at the collegiate level and signed on with several universities part of the NCAA.

OSWEGO, IL — Years of playing sports culminated in National Letter of Intent Signing Day Feb. 1, as 30 high school student-athletes in Oswego School District 308 signed to play a collegiate sport.

Sixteen of the athletes are from Oswego East High School and the other 14 are students at Oswego High School.

National Letter of Intent Signing Day, which to many has become a celebrated event, is traditionally the first when student-athletes can commit with a school that's a member of the National Collegiate Athletic Association after a verbal scholarship is offered. Signing as high school seniors, the students would play at their future school in the following academic school year.
