KENDALL COUNTY, IL — In August of 2019, the Kendall County Sheriff's Office partnered with Augie Ghilarducci of 2nd Opportunity to implement a viable job readiness program for incarcerated individuals. The program includes an introduction to supportive services, creating goals, specific plans for employment, re-entry into society, financial literacy, communication skills, and interviewing skills to help create a path forward upon release.

On June 7, 2023, 16 individuals graduated from the 2nd Opportunity program. These individuals were the sixth group of graduates to complete this program here at the Kendall County Sheriff’s Office. The program consisted of attending class once a week for 14 weeks and completing additional coursework outside of class. Please help us congratulate these individuals for their dedication and determination in completing the 2nd Opportunity Program.
