All Oswego Children Now Eligible For Free School Meals

All Oswego students are now eligible to receive free meals through the end of the year, thanks to recent changes in federal regulations.

OSWEGO, IL – All Oswego students are now eligible to receive free meals through the end of the year, thanks to recent changes in federal regulations.

School officials announced all students through age 18 are eligible for free curbside meal service regardless of whether they are enrolled the school district.

Curbside pickup will resume Sept. 14 at Oswego High School (door 11) and will be available on Mondays and Wednesday from 8:30 a.m. to 10 a.m. For curbside service, parents are advised to be prepared to indicate at the time of pickup how many children they are picking up meals for.

Meal delivery via bus is still available to families as well. These deliveries will also happen on Mondays and Wednesday. Each meal delivery will include three breakfasts and three lunches. Deliveries are expected to be completed between 7:15 a.m. and 8:45 a.m. on Monday and Wednesday mornings.

Someone must come to the bus to receive the meal delivery and must wear a face mask.
