• Oswego Senior Center seeks $66,000 from village for 2027 (wspynews.com) — Oswego's Senior Center is asking the village for a 10% funding increase to $66,000 for 2027, citing rising attendance and limited staff. Leaders say the money would support transportation, grief services, and social programs for older residents, with trustees set to weigh the request during the village's Oct. 24 budget workshop.
• Oswego East Wins Southwest Prairie Conference Girls Tennis Tournament for Second Straight Season - Thursday's Area High School Varsity Athletics Recap (wspynews.com) — Oswego East's girls tennis team has captured the Southwest Prairie Conference tournament title for the second straight year, led by a dominant, undefeated run from top singles player Ysabella Seeto. Oswego and Oswego East teams also featured in volleyball and boys soccer, with both schools picking up key wins that highlight how strong local high school athletics are this fall.
