Back To School: Oswego 2021-22 School Calendar

OSWEGO, IL — Back-to-school planning has already begun in Oswego, with calendars available to help parents prepare for the first day in Oswego Community Unit School District 308.

The first day of school for most students in Oswego is Aug. 18.

Heading into the upcoming school year, some dates are subject to change as the coronavirus pandemic nears its year-and-a-half point. A mix of in-person, virtual and hybrid learning is still possible in Oswego.

Currently, District 308 doesn't have a masking mandate enforcing mask wearing for students and staff while at school — it's only required on school busses. The district also doesn't have a policy requiring students and staff to disclose their vaccination status.

The directive is also subject to change based on public health guidance. Officials did not respond to Patch's request for comment at the time of publication.

Winter Break: Dec. 23 to Jan. 7

Spring Break: March 28 to April 1
