Oswego student makes dean’s list at South Plains College
Sarah Jensen of Oswego (60543) was named to the South Plains College Spring 2023 Deans' List.

Jensen was among the nearly 700 students named to the Spring 2023 Deans' List. To qualify, students must earn a GPA of 3.25 or higher and complete a minimum of 12 credit hours.

UW-Whitewater announces Dean's List
The following students were named to the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater Dean's List for the 2023 spring semester.

Oswego student graduates from Harding University
Halen O'Hare Skipworth of Oswego is one of more than 600 students who received diplomas and were recognized as Harding University graduates for Spring 2023 during a commencement ceremony on May 6, 2023.
O'Hare Skipworth received a Bachelor of Arts in English.

Local student admitted to leadership academy
Ryan Jednachowski, of Oswego, IL, is one of 29 women admitted to Augustana College's Brenda Barnes Leadership Academy, a series of leadership experiences and opportunities for networking to engage and uplift future female leaders.
This cohort is the inaugural class of women invited to the program. Participants, all first-year students who will enroll at Augustana this fall, were selected by a committee based on their application and essay submission.

Grace Marie Henderson of Oswego, IL, graduated with the Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Lee University during the 187th commencement exercises on May 6, 2023.
Henderson was among more than 560 students who received undergraduate and graduate diplomas.

Oswego resident makes dean’s list at Georgia Southwestern State University
Michael Drennon, a resident of Oswego, IL, made the Spring 2023 Academic Achievement List at Georgia Southwestern State University and was among 627 students recognized for scholastic achievement.
To be eligible for the Academic Achievement List, a student must previously earn at least 12 credit hours at GSW, be enrolled in 3 to 11 hours of courses, and earn a 3.5 or higher GPA.

Oswego student finishes Hofstra University semester with perfect GPA
Mark Melton of Oswego achieved a perfect 4.0 GPA during the Fall 2022 semester, earning a spot on the Provost's List at Hofstra University. Mark's major is Writing for the Screen.

Oswego student graduates with biology degree
Angelo State University in San Angelo, Texas, conferred 830 undergraduate and graduate degrees on 825 graduates during the 2023 spring commencement exercises on May 12-13 at the ASU Junell Center/Stephens Arena.
The graduates include Emily Latzke of Oswego, who earned a Bachelor of Science in Biology.

Augustana College awards degrees to Oswego students
Augustana College recognized 624 participants at the college's 163rd commencement ceremony Saturday, May 27. CNN Hero Nelly Cheboi '16 delivered the commencement address.
The Class of 2023 is the most diverse class in Augustana's 163-year history, with graduates hailing from 20 countries including the United States and 24 U.S. states.
Those reccognized included:

- Samantha Exner from Oswego, Ill., (60543) studied Pre-medicine and Spanish for Professionals.
- Mia Novak from Oswego, Ill., (60543) studied Business Administration - Marketing and Communication Studies.
- Claudia Vallejo from Oswego, Ill., (60543) studied Geography.
