Oswego native makes dean’s list at Roosevelt University

Abigail Aviles made the dean’s list for the College of Arts and Sciences at Roosevelt University in Chicago. Abigail’s major is Psychology - Forensic track. She is minoring in Spanish Studies.

Oswego student makes academic achievement list

Michael Drennon, a resident of Oswego, Ill., made the Spring 2022 Academic Achievement List at Georgia Southwestern State University and was among 542 students recognized for scholastic achievement.

To be eligible for the Academic Achievement List, a student must previously earn at least 12 credit hours at GSW, be enrolled in 3 to 11 hours of courses, and earn a 3.5 or higher GPA.

Student from Oswego makes president’s list at Trine University

Alexander Ponx, of Oswego, was named to the President's List for the Spring 2022 term at Trine University.

Ponx is majoring in Civil Engineering.

To earn President's List honors, Trine University students must complete a minimum of 12 hours and have a grade point average of 3.750-4.000.

Oswego native makes chancellor’s honor roll at University of Mississippi

Angelina Lee, of Oswego, IL, was named to the University of Mississippi's Spring 2022 Honor Roll lists.

Lee, majoring in Early Childhood Education, was named to the Chancellor's Honor Roll, which is reserved for students who earn a semester GPA of 3.75-4.00.

"The remarkable students achieving Chancellor's Honor Roll are among the best and brightest at the University of Mississippi," said Chancellor Glenn Boyce. "I commend them for their hard work and dedication resulting in their outstanding academic achievements and this well-deserved recognition."

In order to be eligible for honor roll designation, a student must have completed at least 12 graded hours for the semester and may not be on academic probation during the semester.

Oswego students graduate from Monmouth College

The following students have graduated from Monmouth College.

• Benjamin Dobberstein of Oswego (60543), son of Patrick C and Christine Dobberstein of Oswego, Ill.
• Nathan Willig of Oswego (60543), son of Dennis A. and Angela M Willig of Oswego, Ill.

The College held its Commencement ceremony on May 15, and 1997 graduate Kunal Kapoor, the CEO of Morningstar, Inc., gave the address to the Class of 2022.

Oswego student named to university dean’s list

Madeline Wyatt from Oswego, IL, has made the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater Dean's List for the 2022 spring semester.

These students have demonstrated their academic abilities by receiving a grade point average of 3.4 or above in a single semester.

"Making the Dean's List is a tremendous honor. It is a recognition of your hard work and commitment to success," said Robin Fox, who serves as provost and vice chancellor for academic affairs. "Congratulations! We are proud of you and hope to see your names on the list again."

Jacob Bentz named to honors list for spring quarter

Jacob Bentz, from Oswego, was named to the Milwaukee School of Engineering's Honors List for the 2022 Spring Quarter. Bentz is pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Construction Management.

Undergraduate students who have earned a GPA of 3.20 or higher (out of 4.0) for this quarter are on the Honors List.
