College Credits: Pathways Program Grad To Attend College This Fall

Oswego area resident commits to Lake Forest College to play football

Oswego resident and wide receiver prospect Jake Bianchi committed to Lake Forest College following their football team's sixth Midwest Conference title win. Jake graduated from Aurora Central Catholic High School (ACC) in May 2023. At ACC, he was a first-team, all-conference, starting wide receiver; a two-year team captain; and a four-year varsity player for the school’s football team.

After a successful football career, Jake quickly became an elite long jumper, breaking his high school's 36-year-old long jump record in the spring of 2023. As a first-year, undefeated Genoa (G.-Kingston) league long jumper, Jake qualified for IHSA's Class 2A 2023 sectional and state series, capturing second place at sectionals and performing notably at the state competition at Eastern Illinois University.

His efforts immediately earned him team captain status, a twelfth-place position in IHSA's 2023 2A Long Jump Rankings, and ACC's coveted Charger Award.

Jake was also a pitcher, catcher, third baseman, and left fielder for ACC's baseball team and a member of the school's esports league. Jake earned academic honor roll status and served over 100 community service hours at ACC.

Jake is a proud recipient of Lake Forest College's Presidential Scholarship and Founders Grant. He looks forward to pursuing a bachelor's degree in business and building upon his football and track and field successes in the fall.

Pathways Transition Program grad will attend Concordia University in the fall

Kamille Swanson, 22, graduated from Oswego School District’s Pathways Transition Program in May and will be going to college in the fall. Kamille will go to AbleLight College at Concordia University in Wisconsin. She will work on vocational rehabilitation, life skills, independent living, art and health & wellness. Special needs college experience programs allow students with developmental and intellectual disabilities to experience college living and higher education. Way to go Kamille!

DePauw University dean’s list includes Oswego student

Morgan Brown from Oswego has been named to DePauw University's Spring 2023 Dean's List.

The Dean's List recognizes students who achieve a semester grade point average of 3.5 or higher on a 4.0 scale. Congratulations on this well-earned achievement!

Oswego student named to Univerisity of Mississippi's dean’s honor roll

Angelina Lee, of Oswego, IL, was named to the University of Mississippi's Spring 2023 Honor Roll lists.

Lee, majoring in Early Childhood Education, was named to the Dean's Honor Roll, which is reserved for students who earn a semester GPA of 3.50-3.74.

In order to be eligible for honor roll designation, a student must have completed at least 12 graded hours for the semester and may not be on academic probation during the semester.
