Coroner Toftoy Reportedly Tried to Fire Deputy Coroner Jacquie Purcell
The coroner was allegedly advised to wait until after the election.

According to a report from WSPY, Toftoy talked to Kendall County State’s Attorney Eric Weis about firing Purcell, but was advised against it until after the March 15 election.
“Eric’s like, ‘You know what, you can’t do it during the campaign. She will f-----g cry, The media, Kenny fires Jacquie because of blah, blah, blah, blah, blah,’” Toftoy said in an audio recording obtained by WSPY.

Toftoy also complained about his working relationship with Purcell, according to the audio recording.
“You guys have no clue, coming in here every f-----g morning at 9 o’clock what I go through with her sitting here and on the computer,” Toftoy said, adding that she’ll talk to him about some work-related matters, but not much else. “But other than that, we don’t talk about nothing,” Toftoy said.
