District Releases Updated Graduation Ceremony Plans
The graduation ceremony will now be held across three days: Tuesday, June 16, Wednesday, June 17 and Thursday, June 18.
OSWEGO, IL — Graduation plans for Oswego School District 308 have been updated in light of the coronavirus pandemic, officials announced in a release. The graduation ceremony will now be held across three days: Tuesday, June 16, Wednesday, June 17 and Thursday, June 18.
According to information released by the district, graduating students will be required to report to their respective high schools between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. on those days to receive their diploma.
Groups of students will be determined by school administrators and will consist of no more than 10 students during each designated time period. Parents and guests will not be permitted inside the buildings.

Each individual student will walk across the stage in their cap and gown as their name is announced, receive their diploma, transfer their tassel and have a professional photograph taken.
Students will use a specific entrance to the building, parents or guardians driving the students will be asked to pull around to a specific exit point. A live stream will be made available for families to view as students walk across the stage. Speeches and the procession of all students will be recorded and a full keepsake video of the ceremony will be made available to download or view online.
