DUI And Domestic Battery In Oswego: Authorities

Plus, a reminder of what police are cracking down on through Labor Day Weekend.

OSWEGO, IL —

Monday, Aug. 27

DUI

Kendall County Sheriff's Office said deputies stopped a vehicle for speeding and improper lane usage at 12:30 a.m., Aug. 27, on Orchard Road near Route 34 in Bristol Township. Sheriff's officials said 29-year-old Jonathan Howard, of the 4300 block of Schofield Drive, Oswego, was subsequently arrested for DUI after he failed field sobriety tests, in addition to being cited for improper lane usage. He was taken to the Kendall County Jail.

Sunday, Aug. 26

DUI

KCSO officials said deputies saw that a vehicle wasn't parked correctly in the road at Washington St., east of Route 71, at 2:40 a.m., Aug. 26, as one of the vehicle occupants was standing outside of it, arguing with the driver. Sheriff's officials said upon making contact with the driver, Alisa M. Meurer, a 21 of the 500 block of Truman Drive, Oswego, they arrested her and charged her with DUI of alcohol and cited her for improper stopping on the roadway. Sheriff's officials said Meurer was taken to the Kendall Co. Jail without incident.

Friday, Aug. 24

Possession of Cannabis

Oswego Police Department officials reported 20-year-old Matt Parello, of the 800 block of Shagbark Lane, Aurora, was arrested at 10:15 p.m., Aug. 24 at Washington and Route 31, and was taken to Oswego Police Department. Police officials said Parello was charged with possession of cannabis

Domestic battery

KCSO officials said Matthew R. Gramza, 60, of the 5300 block of Half Round Road, Oswego, was sentenced as a weekender on Aug. 24, on a domestic battery charge (insulting or provoking) from July 13.

Domestic Battery

KCSO officials said deputies responded to the 0-99 block of Harbor Drive in unincorporated Oswego for a domestic battery report. Sheriff's officials said during an investigation, the victim reported being pushed to the ground and punched in the forehead. Deputies arrested Stephen A. Gray, 33, from the 300-400 block of Evans Ave. in Aurora for domestic battery and he was taken to the Kendall Co. Jail.
