Tai Chi Chuan began as a mixture of Chinese health and martial skills in the 13th Century. Its founder was a Taoist monk, Chang San-feng. Tai Chi helps develop the practitioner's internal strength as an effective martial skill, and equally important, can improve one's health (circulation, balance, flexibility and coordination.) Classes focus on the Tai Chi form, Chi Kung (energy work) and applications. Classes are suitable for anyone in any stage of fitness.
