Fire at Caterpillar Extinguished Within 10 Minutes
No injuries were reported in the fire and a cause has not yet been determined.
A fire that broke out Monday evening at Caterpillar was extinguished within 10 minutes of the arrival of the Oswego Fire Protection District.
A call for the fire at 325 S. Route 31 came in at around 6:55 p.m., according to the district. The first unit on the scene reported a fire in an air handling unit inside one of the buildings.
The fire was extinguished within 10 minutes of the first engine’s arrival. No employees or firefighters were injured, according to the OFPD.

The cause of the fire is pending an investigation. An estimated loss total is undetermined.
