Florida Man Accused Of Sexual Assault Arrested On Kendall Co. Warrant
The 31-year-old is being held at a Florida jail on a no-bond warrant out of Kendall County while he awaits extradition back to Illinois.
KENDALL COUNTY, IL — A Florida man was apprehended on a no-bond warrant out of Kendall County after he was accused of sexually assaulting a child for several years, officials said.
Maxwell Jordon, 31, of Leesburg, Florida, was charged Sunday with two counts of predatory criminal sexual assault of a child, two counts of aggravated criminal sexual assault and six counts of criminal sexual assault.
Deputies from the Kendall County Sheriff's Office began investigating reports of possible criminal sexual assault involving two people occurring over the course of "several years" in December 2022, according to a news release. Officials did not specify where or when the assaults occurred or how old the victims were.

The KCSO and United States Marshals Great Lakes Regional Fugitive Task Force began the investigation into Jordan's whereabouts, officials said. Jordan was ultimately located living in Florida and was apprehended July 13 in the 1700 block of Timber Ridge Circle in Leesburg by members of the United States Marshals Florida Caribbean Fugitive Task Force.
The man is currently being held at the Lake County jail awaiting extradition back to Illinois, officials said.

"The Kendall County Sheriff’s Office is committed to protecting our most vulnerable citizens," Sheriff Dwight Baird said in a statement. "We will not hesitate to utilize any resources necessary to hold these offenders accountable and provide survivors the justice they deserve."
