Former Oswego Grad's Art Receives Prominent Downtown Chicago Placement
Jacob Watts won Wabash Arts Corridor competition.

Submitted by Oswego School District 308:
Oswego High School graduate Jacob Watts (class of 2008) was notified he won a competition to have an image of his choice displayed on the side of a building in downtown Chicago last May.
The competition was put together by the Wabash Arts Corridor and was open to the public, designed to make a larger than life street gallery through the neighborhood.
His piece Bubblegum Bubble is now one of the large scale artworks displayed on the parking lot side of 33 East Congress, a familiar spot he used to always walk by on his way to class at Columbia College.
The piece, a photo-illustration of a moose blowing bubblegum, hangs on the vibrant blue wall at a size of 48 feet by 43 feet, a pretty intimidating size for the least intimidating picture. The giant moose is greeted by hundreds of passerby’s whether they are walking by or taking the EL train that runs right past it. He said he is extremely excited to have his artwork add a little quirkiness to the city of Chicago.
