Gas Price Update: Some Relief At The Pump For Oswego Drivers
The average price for a gallon of gas in Kendall County was $4.00 as of Thursday.

OSWEGO, IL — The national average for a gallon of gas has seen a slight decrease, according to AAA, providing some relief to Oswego drivers.
As of Thursday, the average price for a gallon of gas in Illinois was $3.99 — that's down 5 cents from a week ago and up 16 cents from a month ago, AAA data shows.
At around $4.00 per gallon in Kendall County, gas prices were in line with the state average. The last time Patch took a look at gas prices in the county, they were averaging $4.21 per gallon.

Nationally, the price per gallon of gas was going for an average of $3.57 Thursday.
"The national average reached $3.68 last week, and that might be the peak price for now," Andrew Gross, AAA spokesperson, said in his latest news release April 27. "As long as the oil cost keeps wobbling around the low to mid $70s per barrel, drivers will benefit when they fuel up."

According to GasBuddy, the cheapest gas in Oswego is selling for $3.77 per gallon at Murphy USA, 2350 Route 34. Here is what other stations around town are charging:
- Meijer, 2720 US-34: $3.78 per gallon
- Delta Sonic Car Wash, 1924 Route 34: $3.79 per gallon
- Shell, 11909 US-34: $3.82 per gallon
- Shell, 160 Douglas Road: $3.82 per gallon
