Juveniles Arrested For Weapon, Disorderly Conduct At Plank
Oswego police reported female student was arrested for weapon at Plank on same day of male student's arrest for disorderly conduct at Plank.

OSWEGO, IL — A female juvenile was arrested at Plank Junior High School, listed as 510 Secretariat Drive on Wednesday, Oct. 10 and charged with unauthorized possession of a weapon just hours after a 14-year-old male was arrested at the school and charged with disorderly conduct, according to Oswego police. The two separate incidents involved juveniles from Montgomery.
In the first case, Oswego police said in a release a 14-year-old male was arrested at 12:15 p.m. Wednesday shortly after officers responded to Plank Junior High School for a disorderly conduct report involving writing found on a bathroom wall. Police, with the cooperation of Community School District 308 said they were able to identify a male student from Montgomery as the so-called offender. The student was arrested for disorderly conduct at 12:15 p.m. and was taken to the Oswego Police Department where he was released to his parents, and awaits a future court date.
Oswego police responded just before 4:30 p.m. to a report from the school, for an incident that took place about an hour earlier involving a female juvenile. Police said the juvenile was arrested just after 5 p.m. and was charged with unauthorized possession of a weapon. Police said she was taken to Oswego Police Department.

Police are reminding everyone it's important to quickly report suspicious and criminal activity to police, as an investigation in the earlier case revealed the bathroom wall writing was seen by students hours before it was reported.
