The village issued a boil order for part of Oswego due to a water main break and large fire in the old downtown area.

OSWEGO, IL — A large fire and water main break occurred late Wednesday morning in Oswego, affecting water pressure downtown, village officials said.
Officials said the water main break happened in the old downtown area but did not give additional details about the incident or the fire.
As a result, the village issued a boil order minutes before 1 p.m. for the area from Main Street south of Route 71, with Wilson Place on the north and Forest Avenue on the east.
