Man Set His Own House On Fire: Oswego Police
Police responding to a report of a domestic incident discovered the fire.

OSWEGO TOWNSHIP, IL — A man has been arrested in connection with a suspected arson earlier this month in Oswego. Brandon James Ramsey, 25, of the 200 block of Dorchester, is charged with residential arson. Oswego police said they took him into custody on Monday.
The arrest came two weeks after Oswego police and firefighters responded to a domestic dispute at Ramsey's address in the Lakeview Estates subdivision. Police said they arrived at the home to find it engulfed in flames.
Oswego police said Ramsey was taken to an area hospital for non-life-threatening injuries after the blaze, and no one else was injured. He was taken into custody upon his release on Monday, police said. Kendall County Scanner, a Facebook page that reports local police scanner traffic, said scanner reports indicated a person poured gasoline all over the home "as a result of a domestic issue." A video posted to the page showed thick smoke as firefighters responded to the scene.
Ramsey is due in court Aug. 21, according to Kendall County court records. His bond is set at $100,000.
