MetroNet Officially Bringing Gigabit Internet to Oswego

Residents in Oswego will begin to see signs of MetroNet's presence soon.

OSWEGO, IL — MetroNet has officially announced that it will expand into Oswego with construction activity beginning immediately. This news follows unanimous approval of the local franchise agreement between the Village of Oswego and MetroNet at Tuesday’s Village Board meeting, according to a MetroNet news release.

Residents in Oswego will begin to see signs of MetroNet’s presence soon, with construction crews arriving to deploy its state-of-the-art fiber network. Construction teams will be posting easily-identifiable yard signs in areas of construction to keep residents informed of construction activity, which may include working in utility easements located on residential properties. Residents are encouraged to visit MetroNet’s dedicated construction website to find construction details and submit questions.

MetroNet encourages Home Owner Association (HOA) presidents, and other neighborhood group leaders that have an interest in bringing MetroNet services to their areas, to contact the company. MetroNet will schedule a presentation with the HOA or neighborhood group where a company representative will explain the guidelines for building out a new neighborhood, provide details about MetroNet’s communication services and respond to questions.
