Netherlands Man Killed In Train Collision In Oswego: Coroner
A forensic autopsy performed Sunday showed the 49-year-old suffered multiple injuries due to the train-pedestrian crash Saturday afternoon.
OSWEGO, IL — A man from the Netherlands was killed after he was hit by a train on the BNSF Railway tracks in Oswego Saturday, according to the Kendall County Coroner's Office.
Steven Michael Sostak, 49, was found unresponsive after deputies responded to the tracks north of the Oswego Park-N-Ride on Station Drive around 2:20 p.m. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
A forensic autopsy performed Sunday showed Sostak suffered multiple injuries due to the train-pedestrian crash, officials said Tuesday morning. Final autopsy results are pending further investigation and toxicology testing.
