No, Ben Affleck is Not Moving to Oswego

OSWEGO, IL — If you’ve been telling all your friends that Ben Affleck is moving to Oswego, then you’re going to have a lot of hearts to break.

“Local news” site Channel 18, citing an unnamed magazine, claims Ben Affleck said he’s “tired of the L.A. lifestyle” and looking for a change.

“I’m just tired of the L.A. lifestyle and I feel like, at this point in my life, I’d rather just live in a place full of real, genuine people. I’ve been to Oswego, Illinois a couple of times over the years and the people there are real… they’re genuine, and yeah every community has its problems but the people there are good, decent people and they care about their community. Those are the things I find most important in deciding where to live,” Channel 18 reports the magazine as saying.

While his description of Oswego is probably true, you won’t be his neighbor anytime soon.

Channel 18’s About section says the site is a “fantasy news website” and that “most articles” are satire or pure fantasy.

Well, since it says most, perhaps there’s a chance, but it might be on par with winning the lottery.
