Oswego Clarinet Player Chosen To Perform With Northshore Concert Band
The concert band, performing in Evanston, gives student musicians a chance to showcase their talents and gain valuable experience.

OSWEGO, IL — An eighth grader from Oswego was chosen to perform in Northshore Concert Band's 19th annual concert Feb. 19.
Clarinet player Brayden Beverwyk, a student at Traughber Junior High School, will join 40 other "outstanding middle school musicians" from the Chicagoland area to take part in the Lifetime of Music Concert that will be held at the Pick-Staiger Concert Hall, 50 Arts Circle Drive in Evanston.
"This is a unique opportunity for student musicians to showcase their talents and gain valuable experience," Northshore Concert Band officials said in a news release. "Like each member of Northshore Concert Band, we hope our young guests will become musicians for a lifetime."

The musicians will play music from composers including Katahj Copley, James Barnes and Thomas Duffy as well as selections from Ron Nelson's "Medieval Suite" and Viet Cuong's "Sound and Smoke."
"Congratulations again to Brayden Beverwyk on this accomplishment," Oswego School District 308 officials said.
