OSWEGO, IL — Stormy weather forced the cancellation of the Village of Oswego Independence Day Fireworks Show, but not to worry. The village already had a rain date — tomorrow, July 5 — planned in case of bad weather.
On Facebook, the village urged residents to be safe, and to check back for updates on the time for tomorrow's rescheduled fireworks show. Originally, the show was set for 9 p.m. Wednesday at Prairie Point Park.
Scattered storms were expected to continue in the area Wednesday evening, with the possibility of more storms Thursday. A severe storm warning was in effect for the area until 10 p.m.
