Oswego Food Mart Robber Nabbed in Arizona: Cops
Police were able to identify the man after numerous tips were received in response to a social media post.

Tips from the public helped police make an arrest of a man accused of an armed robbery at the Oswego Food Mart April 23.
Timothy Wisnauski, 36, of Carpentersville, was arrested May 2 in Peoria, Arizona, by the local U.S. Marshals Service Task Force.
Police say Wisnauski entered the food mart, located at 100 Light Road in unincorporated Oswego, at 1:29 p.m. and pointed a handgun at employees and took cash.

The store’s video surveillance system captured images of Wisnauski, which were then posted on Facebook. Within one day of the post, tips began pouring in regarding the identity of the man.

After detectives identified the man as Wisnauski, the Kendall County State’s Attorney’s Office charged him with armed robbery April 27 and a warrant was issued for his arrest.
“The arrest of this dangerous subject was made possible by the use of social media, the public’s willingness to get involved and the combined efforts of several law enforcement agencies,” said Kendall County Sheriff Dwight Baird. “I want to thank the public for their partnership and getting involved to help keep our community safe. This lets criminals know we work together and no matter how far you go we will track you down.”
