Oswego Man Fires Gun In Parking Garage While Under The Influence: PD

The incident happened Saturday afternoon at a public parking garage at 77 S. Adams St. in Oswego.

OSWEGO, IL — An Oswego man was charged after he fired a handgun in a public parking garage while under the influence of alcohol, police said.

Officers responded at about 2:45 p.m. Saturday to the lot at 77 S. Adams St. after someone reported the shooting. The suspect fled the scene before police arrived.

Police located the car and arrested 23-year-old Patrick J. Powell, who was charged with reckless discharge of a firearm and possession of a concealed firearm while under the influence of alcohol, officials said.

The man, of the 500 block of Rosebush Drive, was processed at the Oswego Police Department and transported to the Kendall County Sheriff's Office where he was released with conditions. His next court date is set for March 20.
