Oswego Man Charged with Criminal Sexual Assault
Woman was confined to bedroom during assault.

At approximately 11:52 a.m. Tuesday, Kendall County Sheriff’s Deputies received information through dispatch that a female had been sexually assaulted at a residence located in the 0-100 Block of Aldon Road in Unincorporated Montgomery, according to a press release from the Kendall County Sheriff’s Office. Deputies and Oswego Police Department officers responded to the residence and located the woman in a bedroom in the home. The woman was taken by Oswego Fire Protection District Paramedics to Rush Copley Hospital in Aurora for medical treatment in stable condition.
Kendall County Sheriff’s detectives began an investigation into the assault. During the investigation, detectives learned that the woman had also been confined to the bedroom during the assault. The Kendall County State’s Attorney’s Office reviewed the case and charged Miguel Ramos, a 26-year-old male from Oswego, with criminal sexual assault, a class 1 felony and unlawful restraint, a class 4 felony. Ramos was scheduled for a bail hearing today at 1 p.m. However, Ramos is still lodged in the Kendall County Jail, according to police.
