Oswego Man Gets $1M Bail for Allegedly Harassing Tollway Chairman Again
He has been charged with phone harassment, according to online court records.

NAPERVILLE, IL — An Oswego man has once again made threats against Illinois Tollway Chairman Robert Schillerstrom, landing himself a $1 million bail in DuPage County court.
58-year-old James P. Conroy, with addresses out of Oswego and a Naperville motel, allegedly called 911 Saturday night. The dispatcher believed it was Conroy due to “previous incidents,” according to a report from the Chicago Tribune.
"Our officer contacted the victim to confirm his well-being, and learned the victim did receive a call from a person he believed to be Conroy earlier in the evening," Naperville Police Cmdr. Jason Arres said in the report.

An arrest warrant of Conroy was obtained Sunday and Oswego police arrested him at his Oswego home. He was then transferred to the Naperville Police Department.

In July, Conroy allegedly called police and asked them to kill him. He also allegedly tried to take a taxi to Schillerstrom’s house.
In March, Conroy received 180 days in jail after he left a phone message for Schillerstrom threatening to kill him. He was also ordered to stay away from Schillerstrom and his family.
