Oswego Police Give 77 Citations During Holiday Crackdown

From Nov. 16 to Nov. 29, Oswego police were cracking down on motorists who drove without wearing a seat belt and those who drove impaired.

During the crackdown, 35 seat belt citations were given, as well as 1 child car seat citation, 1 no valid driver’s license citation, 30 unlawful use of cellphone citations and 10 speeding citations.

No drivers under the influence were apprehended by police.

Despite the campaign being over, Oswego police say that’s no excuse to not buckle up or drive impaired.
