The contest was designed to support increased rigor and accelerated college and career readiness for all students.

OSWEGO, IL — Students in the Literacy Dynamics program at Bednarcik Junior High School participated in the Read to Succeed Contest through Achieve 3000.

The contest was designed to support increased rigor and accelerated college and career readiness for all students, by encouraging students to complete as many lessons on Achieve3000 as they can. Every time a student completed a multiple choice activity, that class earned one point.

For every score of 75 percent, that class earned two points. And for every score of 88 percent or higher, that class earned three points! The class with the most points on average, per student, wins. The contest ran November 2 through December 4. Six classes throughout sixth, seventh, and eighth grade competed against one another to be awarded the school winner and receive a gift card for a class party.

All students who participated did an amazing job and put forth a great deal of effort. The scores remained close throughout the entire contest. Jennifer Dutdut’s eighth grade Literacy Dynamics class in period 9, was awarded the national winner by Saki Dodelson, CEO and President of Achieve 3000.
