Oswego Township Official Under Investigation For Resource Misuse: KCSO
The Kendall County Sheriff's Office is in the early stages of investigating the allegations made by a "concerned community member."

OSWEGO, IL — An elected official in Oswego Township is under investigation for possibly misusing resources, according to officials at the Kendall County Sheriff's Office.
Detectives are in the early stages of investigating the allegations against an official who works in Oswego Township or the Oswego Township road district, according to a news release. A "concerned community member" filed a complaint with the sheriff's office on Sept. 13, authorities said.
"Our main concern right now is to conduct a professional and thorough investigation into these allegations, following all leads wherever they take us," investigators said in the release.

Officials said a "methodical and deliberate approach" is necessary due to the complexity of the investigation, which will take time as it is currently in the "very early stages."
