6th GRADE ORANGE 0 – Kaneland Black 28
The Panthers had their work cut out for them this week, as they took on a Kaneland Knights Defense that has only allowed 2 TD's this year. The Knights defense was aggressive and swarming toward the ball causing 3 turnovers on the day, as the Panthers were unable to score for the first time this year.
The Oswego defense didn't have it any easier, and the Knights potent offense was able to rip off a couple of big plays early on and went up 14-0 at the quarter. The Panthers figured them out, and made some adjustments. First year player CB Sam Bombrys made the transition from Offense to Defense for the first time, and proved to be a force, allowing 0 completions, and pitching in with 2 tackles and 2 assists. With Sam anchoring the edge, they were able to shut down the outside forcing Kaneland to earn tough yards in the middle. The Knights continued to pound the ball, and found it much tougher in the middle as they ran into defensive standouts Riley "RJ" Taves, and Gabriel Kiely. RJ had 3 tackles and 3 assists, while Gabriel was in on 5 tackles and 3 assists. With pace now slowed, Kaneland managed one long tough drive for another score, then added 2 more TD's late as they were able to convert on turnovers.

6th GRADE BLUE 12 – Red Hawks 6
OYTF 6th grade Blue Panthers beat the Naperville Red hawks on Saturday by a score of 12 – 6. The Panthers made the most of their offensive opportunities as they only had the ball three times for the entire game. The panthers scored touchdowns on two of their three possessions. Mike Polubinski scored two touchdowns as he rushed for 78 yards. The Panther defense was strong as they had strong defensive stands to end of each half. The Panther defense ended the Red Hawks’ drive just before half time with an interception by Will Bass. The Panther defense also stopped the Red Hawk drive at the Panther four yard line just before the end of the game.

7th GRADE BLUE 0 – Metea 28
The Oswego Blue 7th grade Panthers took on the Meta Valley Mustangs on September the 4th at the home of the Panthers on a very nice Sunday morning and it turned out to be a day for the Mustangs as they were able to score five touchdowns and cruised to a 32 to 0 victory, even tho the Panthers fought hard it was not meant to be. The offense had great blocking from Alvan Alvarado, and Preston Lewis. The defense was lead by Ben Holzer, Max Gardner, and a fumble recovery from Zach Harpley.

7th GRADE ORANGE 8 – Naperville North 49

8th GRADE ORANGE 22 – Sandwich 0
Oswego Orange 8th grade played host to Sandwich this weekend. A quick and scoreless first quarter came to an end when Brendan Watkins intercepted a sandwich pass in Sandwich territory, ending any threat. The Oswego offense got to work quickly at the start of the second quarter. Motivated blocking from Carter Anderson, Donovan Layton, Brenden Watkins, Dylan Mahon and Otto Hess allowed Oswego to move the ball down field in chunks before Connor Neblock scored first on a 12 yard run. Luke Childers pounded in the extra point for an 8-0 lead. Sandwich threated late in the second quarter after a nice scramble and completion left them with first and goal from the 2 yard line, but the Panthers defense stiffened. Jonathan Rivas and Roberto Bonilla applied pressure up the middle while Luke Childers and Otto Hess recorded sacks on consecutive plays to end the half and the threat. Thomas Jagoda ended Sandwiches first drive in the third quarter with the first of his two interceptions, and Anthony Cikauskas scored on an incredible 20 yard run on the next play, fighting off two defenders and diving across the goal line as he scored. The Oswego defense cemented in the 4th quarter. Richard Taves had a sack and a pass breakup, George Alba and Brendan Watkins had big tackles and Cyrus Loghmani and Zach cook applied pressure in the backfield. The Panthers scored again in the 4th quarter on a great pass from Dylan Allen to Dominic Karl, who beat two defenders for the ball in the back corner of the end zone. Allen and Karl also connected on a pass for the conversion, running the final score to Oswego 22, Sandwich 0.

8TH GRADE BLUE 0 – Oswego East 20
On Sunday, the 8th grade blue Panthers went up against the undefeated defending Champs Oswego East. The Panthers threatened first, but fumbled the ball inside the 20, after back and forth possessions, East struck first to take a 6-0 halftime lead. Second half was much of the same. The Panthers couldn't get much going offensively and East took a 12-0 lead going into the 4th quarter. East tacked on a late TD to win the game 20-0...the game was much closer than the score but the Panthers could not overcome 5 turnovers. Great defensive performances by Aidan Tweedy, Tyler Curtin & Antonio Hughes. The 2 & 1 Panthers will look to get back on track against Kaneland this Sunday.
