• Kendall Sheriff To Auction Off 2-Year-Old Horse (patch.com) — Oswego residents will have a chance to bid on a 2-year-old horse being auctioned by the Kendall County Sheriff's Office on Sept. 16 at 2510 Roth Road. The cash-only public sale will award the highest bidder a Sheriff's Public Sale Certificate of Purchase, and interested buyers can contact the listed attorney for more details.
   

• Oswego's Traughber Jr. High School ensemble chosen for prestigious national music festival (shawlocal.com) — Traughber Junior High's Wind Ensemble from Oswego School District 308 has been selected as the only Illinois middle school band to perform at the prestigious Music for All National Festival in Indianapolis next April. Fifty seventh- and eighth-graders will represent Oswego, gaining national exposure while learning teamwork, perseverance, and confidence under directors Rachel Maxwell and Devin Cano.
   

• Chicagoland Summer ID: Pitcher Analysis (prepbaseballreport.com) — A recent Chicagoland Summer ID baseball showcase at Triton College highlighted nearly 60 pitchers from around Illinois, including Oswego's 2027 prospect Dylan Doogs. Detailed scouting notes on his left-handed delivery, pitch mix, and velocity give Oswego families and coaches a clear sense of how he stacks up against other rising arms statewide.
