Person Detained After Report Of Gun Displayed Released: Oswego PD
Police were dispatched Monday to investigate a report of a terminated employee flashing a gun. They found no crime occurred.

OSWEGO, IL — Police determined a report of a terminated employee flashing a gun Monday afternoon was unsubstantiated, officials said.
Officers were dispatched to the 0-10 block of Stonehill Road for an “armed and threatening call.”
Officials asked the community to avoid the area while a large police presence was on the scene investigating. A person was detained but later let go after detectives determined no weapon was displayed and no crime occurred, according to a news release.
