Person In Oswego Crash Dies From Self-Inflicted Gunshot Wound: Sheriff
Deputies were dispatched to a single-car crash near Saugatuck and Douglas roads when they found a person suffering from a gunshot wound.
OSWEGO, IL — A person died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound after their car crashed early Monday morning in Oswego Township, according to the Kendall County Sheriff's Office.
Deputies were dispatched around 5:30 a.m. to the area near Saugatuck and Douglas roads for a report of a single-car crash. Once at the scene, officials found a person inside the car suffering from what appeared to be a self-inflicted gunshot wound.
The person was transported to a local hospital where they were pronounced dead.

Deputy Dan Briars told Patch no foul play is suspected in the incident, but an investigation is still ongoing.
Briars said he could not release any additional information at the time.
