Person Considering Harming Self, Cops Not A Threat To Oswego: Police

Police responded to an area on Seton Creek Drive Thursday to investigate a third-party call but determined the person was in another town.

OSWEGO, IL — A report of a person having thoughts of harming themselves and police on Thursday turned out not to be a threat to the Oswego area, according to police.

Around 11:40 a.m., multiple Oswego police officers responded to the 0-99 block of Seton Creek Drive after receiving a third-party call reporting that a person was thinking to harm themselves and police officers. After investigating, police said "it was determined the person was in another town."

"No threat was substantiated and the area has been cleared," police said in a post on Facebook Thursday afternoon.

Officials said the other town, which was not named, was notified of the incident and is investigating.
