Students Evacuated After Smoke Seen At Oswego East High School: D308
Students and staff were evacuated from the high school Wednesday morning while the fire department responded and investigated.

OSWEGO, IL — Students and staff at Oswego East High School were evacuated Wednesday morning after the fire alarm was activated, according to District 308 officials.
In a comment on Facebook, Theresa Komitas, the district's director of communications and public relations, said some smoke was observed in the building but did not specify where.
Crews from the Oswego Fire Protection District responded to investigate the incident.

"There is no danger and the building was cleared to return to normal operations," Komitas said at about 9:35 a.m. She confirmed, "students and staff are safe and school has resumed."
Komitas did not respond to Patch's request for comment at the time of publication.
