Students At Oswego Schools Honored With College Board Recognition

Students from Oswego East and Oswego high schools were among those recognized in programs that academically honor underrepresented students.

Students were chosen by the College Board based on "outstanding performance," which was indicated by a GPA of 3.5 or higher, earning a score of 3 or higher on two or more AP exams, and by excelling on standardized tests.

OSWEGO, IL — Many students at Oswego East and Oswego high schools were recognized by the College Board with academic honors, the district announced Wednesday.

Through different programs, the College Board gives underrepresented students academic honors they can then add to their college and scholarship applications, "helping them connect to colleges and stand out during the admissions process."

Students — identified through the Board's Student Service Search — were chosen based on "outstanding performance," indicated by a GPA of 3.5 or higher, earning a score of 3 or higher on two or more AP exams, and by excelling on the PSAT/NMSQT or PSAT 10 tests.
