Traffic, Delays Expected Around Christmas Walk: Oswego Police

Police advise motorists to consider alternate routes if not attending Christmas Walk festivities.

OSWEGO, IL — The Oswego Police Department reminds the public to expect an increase in traffic and delays in the area on Friday, Nov. 30 due to the Christmas Walk activities happening downtown. According to police, motorists should especially expect delays on US Route 34 through downtown Oswego between 5 p.m. and 9 p.m., in addition to delays on Madison Street and Washington Street near downtown.

If you or someone you know aren't coming into town for the activities, police said you may want to consider alternate routes.

The 2018 Oswego Christmas Walk, presented by Allied First Bank, will be held from 5 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. on Friday and will include your same favorite traditions plus new activities that will make this year even more fun for all ages.
