Woman Charged In Battery Incident Involving Oswego Man: Sheriff

Oswego Police Department, Kendall Co. Sheriff's Office report several recent domestic battery incidents.

Domestic battery

Oswego Police Department reported the arrest of Karrie Lynn Wright, 46, of the 3100 block of Timber Lane, Aurora, following a domestic battery incident involving a 51-year-old Oswego man. Police reported the incident took place at 6:15 p.m., July 31, in the 500 block of Coventry Court, and was reported 30 minutes later. Police arrested Wright at 7:56 p.m. and took her to OPD. She's been charged with domestic battery.

Domestic battery

The Kendall County Sheriff's Office reported deputies responded to the 0-99 block of Amesbury Road in Oswego township for a report of domestic battery that took place at 10:30 a.m., July 31. Police responded around 11 a.m., and an investigation revealed an altercation between two juvenile brothers. Officials say the incident is under investigation, however no injuries were reported.

Possession of a controlled substance

Kendall County Sheriff's Deputies responded to a report of possible battery in the 1100 block of Route 30 in Aurora at 6:11 p.m., July 31. They reported that while investigating the incident, officials found Lendie F. Jackson, 50, of the 600 block of S. River Street, Aurora, was in possession of drug paraphernalia. Sheriff's officials say Jackson was arrested and transported to the Kendall County Jail, where she was charged with unlawful possession of a controlled substance.

Kendall County Sheriff's Deputies responded to the 0-99 block of Circle Drive East, Oswego, just before 8:30 p.m., Aug. 1 for a report of a battery incident. Officials say this is an ongoing investigation.

Retail theft

Oswego Police Department reported police are investigating a retail theft that took place at a Meijer store located at 2700 Route 34 in Oswego. Police reported nearly $30 of liquor was stolen from this location at 12:06 p.m., Aug. 1.
